The path from the weather station was easy to follow. It led onto a narrow access road and we left that to take this track with Clowbridge Reservoir down to the right. The path eventually led down onto the A682, Manchester Road at Clow Bridge, where we made ourselves as decent as possible before going into the New Waggoners for a welcome cup of tea/coffee. We caught the Witchway bus opposite the New Waggoners back to Rawtenstall and the bus back to Bury from there. We had our usual tea in the Art Picture House in Bury befor taking a taxi back to Greenmount.
